Poet Victoria Bennett and digital artist Adam Clarke’s ‘poem-world’ shows popular video game as a platform for art and expression
magnus sandberg's insight:
I have been discussing games and learning many times with lots of people. The main question almost always seems to be how much kids can learn from it, usually compared with text books. In fact, Minecraft does tremendously well in that comparison. Still, its a frustrating discussion, because the beauty and potential of video games is far more than to be a fun replacement of the textbook. This is a great example of how a classic genre can evolve into something quite different through the use of this relatively new medium.
